Primary Responsibility:
• Provide desktop support
• Test and implement basic integrated network hardware and software solutions
• Monitor performance to identify and resolve system infrastructure problems
• Install, configure, and maintain computer servers and peripherals
• Install software upgrades and manage hardware upgrades
• Establish system specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements
• Maintain system performance by performing system monitoring, analysis, and performance tuning
• Trouble shooting system hardware, software, networks, and operating and system management systems
• Designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor
• Secure system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation
• Establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing backups; maintaining documentation
• Documentation of processes and procedures
Good to know:
• MS Server 2008/2008R2/2012 Support
• Microsoft Exchange server 2003/2010/2013
• Backup tools such as Symantec and Microsoft DPM
• Active directory and Group policy knowledge
• Microsoft IIS 7.0/7.5 Server Administration
• Antivirus Software
• Knowledge of Network Devices (i.e switches, routers, and firewalls)
• Operating System Updates – Regularly scheduled system updates, per preapproved update schedule
• Operating system maintenance – Operating system configuration & troubleshooting
• Troubleshooting Windows operating system errors
• Specialized certifications in Microsoft and/or Linux , Networking technologies
Qualifications:
Graduate with a Bachelor degree or 1 to 2 yrs work experience acceptable
Experience in virtualization technologies.
Experience in different flavors of Linux.
Exposure to AD and LDAP.
Good written and oral communication skills
Experience troubleshooting helpdesk tickets
Good interpersonal skills
Self-motivated
Punctual and reliable
Able to lift up to 50 LB
