Description of Services Provided

Protech is an approved vendor for providing resources through a blanket services contract to the Department of Information Resources (DIR).

The most recent placements have been within the Office of the Attorney General (OAG), who has a multi-tiered revitalization system project underway. The OAG is currently using an OS390 mainframe system and ADABAS for its database. The major goals of this project include the integration of Java based Web technology as the user interface. Protech is working to improve efficiency by integrating a middleware tool, MQ Series, to link to a new DB2 database that will allow them to run reports and do archiving. Protech resources also have a role in implementing a structured development methodology, IBM Rational, to be utilized in this project and in all future developments.
