Protech was an approved vendor for providing resources through a blanket services contract to the Department of Information Resources (DIR).
The most recent placements were within the Office of the Attorney General (OAG), who had a multi-tiered revitalization system project underway. The OAG was using an OS390 mainframe system and ADABAS for its database. The major goals of the project included the integration of Java-based Web technology as the user interface. Protech worked to improve efficiency by integrating a middleware tool, MQ Series, to link to a new DB2 database that allowed them to run reports and do archiving. Protech resources also had a role in implementing a structured development methodology, IBM Rational, to be utilized in the project and in all future developments.
